Overview

Nestled in the vibrant heart of Huai Khwang, Bangkok, Anakade is quickly carving a niche as a noteworthy Thai restaurant that blends authentic flavors with a fresh, approachable style. Located on Soi Phibun Uppatham, this welcoming space offers more than just a meal—it promises an experience that celebrates Thai cuisine through carefully curated sharing dishes, inviting guests to gather around and enjoy together.

The culinary approach at Anakade is distinct and thoughtful. Their menu, often presented in seasonal iterations like the highly praised Summer Menu, showcases a variety of traditional Thai dishes elevated with balanced, bright flavors. Diners can expect a harmonious meld of spicy, sour, sweet, and salty notes that remain true to local tastes but with a calibrated lightness that keeps each dish from feeling heavy. This makes it ideal for groups and families seeking authentic food without the usual heaviness often associated with Thai cooking.

Main dishes such as the grilled fish with its unexpected tender texture and prawn drizzled with a vibrant orange sauce highlight the kitchen’s attention to detail and flavor depth. The presentation adds a layer of excitement, reinforcing the care put into every plate. For those inclined, the dessert offerings like lychee shaved ice perfumed with yuzu and mango panna cotta provide a refreshing finish, perfectly complementing the robust main courses.

Anakade’s dining space strikes a balance between cozy and lively. It accommodates small parties and larger groups comfortably, though some visitors have noted that noise levels can rise when the restaurant is full. The atmosphere is festive yet unpretentious, characterized by a friendly ambiance that encourages sharing and connection—ideal for friends, family gatherings, or intimate celebrations.

Practical considerations such as ample parking for own-transport guests enhance convenience, and while the air conditioning is powerful, some feedback suggests airflow could improve during hotter days. Service is swift and polished, contributing significantly to the overall positive impression.

In essence, Anakade presents an alternative representation of Thai cuisine that respects tradition while embracing a modern palate. Its focus on fresh, local ingredients combined with a share-style dining experience makes it a promising spot for anyone looking to explore Thai flavors in a homey yet refined environment. Whether you’re seeking a casual lunch or a festive brunch with friends, Anakade offers a flavorful journey worthy of repeat visits.

Great experience and upcoming place within ladprao. The arrange / food is great. However the place can be noisy if there’s a big group and small groups peppered around. Food services very fast… only sad (slightly funny) part is the AC is so good it makes food turn from hot to cold super fast!! Will definitely come back again.

Festive atmosphere this Sunday for brunch in this new restaurant. We had their Summer Menu; 4 appetizers plus 9 mains courses and 2 desserts, for a total of 15 selections, omakase style and shared with friends! Like chef table but on their menu, they called it friends table . All their appetizers and main courses were delicious, well balanced in taste; combination of spicy, tangy, sour, sweet, salty all very Thai! Initially, I thought the serving sizes were small, but after my meal, I felt I had over ate this tasty brunch, so do pace yourself! Desserts were shaved ice with lychee fragranced with yuzu peel and mango panna cotta. Our group tried their craft soda, local honey wine and local Umeshu. I like the Umeshu and got quite tipsy from a few glasses. What I liked about this restaurant is their unique flavors + Thai share concept that is well proportioned with high number of offerings. Similar to chef table but in a friendly unpretentious setting. What I didn’t like was it was a warm day, external temp was 36C, and although 3 huge AC was at full blast, it was a tad warm to my liking. Can do with some fans for better AC circulation. Parking area is big for 10-15 vehicles capacity making it ideal for customers with own transportation. Enjoyed my overall experience and will visit again, especially when they change to their next menu… and of course with my friends

Came for lunch at this restaurant on the last day of our summer menu in 2025.  I'm really impressed and excited with presentations, delicious food, and, most importantly, exceptional service. Will definitely return in next seasons.

Thai in an approachable, homey, and super quality delicious way. Perfect for family or any friends group occasion, served in the traditional sharing Thai-style. We loved the tone and palette of the menu combination. Normally Thai cuisine can be heavy (good but feel full after), this meal to our liking, is light enough to still feel great afterwards, which left us wanting to come back for more. Alternative representation of Thai cuisine, but not to far off that you couldn't recognize the dishes. Local ingredients and super delicious.

Nice cozy restaurant with bright flavourful Thai food. The first bite came with the explosion as the menu name suggested. All the main dishes seem carefully curated for a balanced taste. I love the grilled fish texture, which is unexpected for this type of fish, and the orange sauce on the prawn is the bomb dot com. Highly recommend for authentic Thai food course. And better book in advance for the convenience.

This isn’t my first time at this restaurant↔ it’s my second visit, and once again, I’m impressed!!! I brought my family along because I wanted them to experience it too….Every dish was absolutely delicious. Unlimited rice refills! The desserts were wonderful, full of great flavors. And the plum soda so refreshing and surprisingly good! Don’t hesitate to give this place a try!

I love the creativity they put to each dish. Great food, lovely staffs. We came around the rainy season which they've reflected the earthy mood and taste to the food served today. Will come back again to taste their winter dishes!

A newly open Thai restaurant tucked in Ladprao/Sutthisan areas. A promising place serving tasty dishes in omakase style with generous portions. Some dishes are a tad sweet for my (personal) liking but overall I’m satisfied with the food. Services were good too.
